BGC was set up by Bedford Mencap in April 1997 as a garden maintenance project to provide hands on work experience for adults with learning disabilities. As well as the Garden Force, we now have a furniture workshop and can offer a variety of Educational experiences.
Our first adults joined us in May 1997.
Garden Design and Maintenance
We provide a garden maintenance and design service. Our project members may take slightly longer to complete a job, but they are dedicated and committed to the gardening work they undertake. Digging, planting, weeding, mowing, fencing, turfing and more can be safely entrusted to our members.
