Established 118 years ago, today it is one of the busiest sanctuaries in London.
Every year it cares for and re-homes thousands of animals - cats, dogs and rabbits - that have been abused, neglected or abandoned.
The Mayhew Animal Home Open Day - Sunday 13th July: The Mayhew Animal Home's famed annual Open Day is back! This summer it's being held on Sunday 13th July and as usual will run from 12 - 4pm. Make sure you put it in your diaries now. As well as the street outside The Home being lined with stalls selling goodies for you and your pet, Mayhew merchandise, ice cream, bargain books for all, entertainment, tombola, advice, information and much, much more, we will also be opening up The Home for visitors to meet and greet the animals in our care as well as engage in a little alternative therapy and animal care demonstrations. And don't forget about the garden, where we'll be cooking up a storm at our barbecue as well as selling a delicious range of cakes and beverages.
